FLOATING FAQ

Will I feel claustrophobic?
The pods are really quite spacious! (Length of king sized bed and as wide as a double). You are always in control of your environment and can get out at any time throughout your float. Most people with claustrophobia consistently report no problems but don’t stress, we will show you around your suite before your float to alleviate any questions or fears you have.

Do I have to close the pod door or turn off the lights?
No, you don’t. We do however recommend closing the door and turning off lights as it allows the reduction of all external sensory stimulation. It’s completely up to you! We want you to feel comfortable and it is certainly possible to enjoy a float session without closing the pod door.

How do you keep the tanks clean?
The solution is made up of 450kgs of Epsom salt, this amount of salt is naturally antiseptic and anti-microbial. The solution is also fully filtered/light filtered between each float.

Can I drown if I fall asleep?
No – Some people do fall asleep, but the solution is so buoyant that you stay afloat.

Can I float If I’m pregnant?
Yes! In fact, floatation therapy is highly beneficial for pregnant women. It will allow you to escape the strain caused by the weight of your growing belly.

How often should I float?
The more you float the greater the benefits – it is up to you and what you want to gain from floating.

Can anyone float?
Almost anyone can float, with a few exceptions. Those with alcohol or drugs in their system or an
open wound or suicidal tendencies should not float
